MICA PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management) is a two-year, full-time residential management programme offered by MICA, Ahmedabad , structured across four academic terms. The programme admits 180 students per batch and is delivered on MICA’s 19-acre residential campus in Shela, Ahmedabad. MICA PGDM is AICTE approved and NBA accredited, with AIU equivalence to a postgraduate management degree.

MICAT PGDM admission process
MICAT Registration
The MICA FPM curriculum is structured to take scholars from coursework foundation to original published research, across four years of full-time engagement.
Scholars complete 53 credits in the coursework foundational phase, spanning research methodology, theory building, and consumer culture theory – the conceptual and methodological grounding required for rigorous work at a global scholarly standard. Coursework includes diverse research designs and contemporary methodological training, alongside critical thinking and ethical research frameworks that consider social, cultural, and environmental impact.
MICAT application Fees
The middle phase of the programme builds scholarly visibility. Scholars present at national and international conferences, work toward publication in peer-reviewed journals, and spend three months on a global research immersion through a partnership with an international university – exposing them to research cultures, faculty networks, and methodologies beyond the Indian academic ecosystem.
MICA’s own research infrastructure supports this development, including the Journal of Creative Communications (a Scopus Q2-ranked peer-reviewed journal), the International Communication Management Conference (ICMC), the Centre for Development Management and Communication (CDMC), and the Centre for Human-Inspired AI.

Eligibility Criteria
- Admission to the Post-graduate Programmes (PGP), both PGDM (C) and PGDM require a Bachelor’s degree (10 + 2 + 3 system) or an equivalent qualification in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in any discipline from a recognised university.
- Candidates appearing for the final year bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply. It is mandatory for such candidates must do the following:
- Produce a certificate from the principal/director/registrar/head of the department of the institution/university certifying that the candidate is currently in the final year/is awaiting final results, stating that they have completed all the requirements (the result may, however, be awaited) for obtaining the bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification on the date of issue of the certificate. This certificate should be submitted latest by June 30, 2027,
- Such a candidate, if selected, and submits the above-mentioned certificate will be allowed to join the programme provisionally. The admission will be confirmed only when the candidate submits the final mark sheet and certificate of having passed the bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification.
The deadline for submission of the final mark sheet and passing certificate is December 31, 2027. Non-fulfillment of this condition will automatically result in the cancellation of the provisional admission.

Can I apply to more than one MICA programee?
PGDM-C focuses on brand communication, advertising and cultural intelligence and lets students choose two full functional majors and two sectors; PGDM focuses on data analytics, strategy and AI with Business Analytics & Consulting (BAC) as a compulsory functional specialisation. PGDM-C has 180 seats and weights creative aptitude, verbal ability and reading comprehension in MICAT; PGDM has 60 seats and weights quantitative ability.
What is the difference between PGDM and PGDM-C?
In Year 2, Job Seekers choose any TWO of seven functional Specialisations — Advanced Product Management & Product Marketing, Advanced Sales & CRM Leadership, Advanced Brand Management, Campaign Design & Performance Management, Marketing Technology & AI, Data Science & Analytics with AI, and Customer Experience Strategy & Digital Transformation — and any TWO of eight sectoral/industryspecialisations: FMCG & FMCD, Consumer Tech, Retail, Media/Entertainment & Sports, BFSI & FinTech, Consulting & Tech Consulting, Business Analytics & AI, and Health-Tech & Health Care.
