How MICA PGDM-C Integrates Product, Customer and Brand

MICA’s PGDM-C begins with an understanding of the 5C’s that are central to the way business is conducted in the fields that the PGDMC programme specialises in – Product, Brand and Customer. Courses like Critical Thinking, How to Read Culture?, Semiotics, Imagining India & Imaginaries and threads AI and analytics in the first term prepares the student to pair creative judgement with data fluency and not handle the two as separate worlds.
So, by the end of Year 1, a typical MICA student is able to build an incisive and focussed portfolio for the Summer Internship Project and is comfortable moving between insight and data-based evidence.
This foundation builds into Year 2, where majors in brand, product, campaign and performance management sit alongside Marketing Technology & AI and Data Science & Analytics with AI, and sectoral minors in real industries. The result is a creative thinker who can create value. That combination prepares graduates for roles including Brand Management, Product management and product marketing, Campaign and Performance Management, Mark.tech and AI, Sales and CRM, Business Analytics and Consulting and Data Science and AI, across sectors including FMCG, Consulting, Consumer Technology, Media, Entertainment & Sports, Consumer Technology and BFSI.

MICA PGDM-C vs Other Marketing & Communications Programmes

Aspirants weighing MICA PGDM-C usually compare it with general-management MBAs that offer marketing as an elective, and with other communications-oriented programmes. [Comparator set and verified data — MICA to confirm (the PGDM page compares against SPJIMR / SCMHRD / NMIMS)].
MICA PGDM-C is built for aspirants who want a career at the intersection of brand, communication and culture, with AI and analytics woven in. Where a general MBA treats marketing as one function among many, PGDM-C builds communications depth from orientation onwards — the better fit for brand management, advertising and marketing-communications leadership. Aspirants set more squarely on data, analytics and consulting may prefer MICA PGDM.

Life at MICA - Residential Campus, Cohort, and Learning Culture

MICA PGDM-C runs out of a 19-acre fully residential campus in Shela, Ahmedabad, where students live, eat and work alongside each other. Technology-equipped classrooms, a library, a community radio station and a recording studio bring strong learning tools to the cohort; the amphitheatre, auditorium, idea park and open plazas support both group learning and personal reflection; and the football ground, gymnasium and yoga spaces keep students healthy. Bonds are forged in the Chotta canteen, hostel corridors, mess and MiCafe. It is a learning environment deliberately different from urban commuter campuses, where contact hours end when the building closes.

The 180-seat PGDM-C cohort is intentionally diverse — drawing students from arts and design, commerce, engineering and management, with a near-even gender mix and a large share arriving with prior work experience — so peer learning is as substantive as classroom learning. Campus life is anchored by MICA-specific signatures such as Micanvas, the annual cultural and creative festival, and Mic-Drop, alongside immersions, club activities and cohort traditions that turn a two-year programme into the experience of becoming a MICAn.
