Journal of Creative Communications

The Journal of Creative Communications promotes inquiry into contemporary communication issues with implications for society and business. The journal encourages a new language of analysis for contemporary communications research and publishes articles that push the frontiers of theory and practice. JOCC showcases diversity of theoretical positions and methodologies to readers across disciplines and regions and calls for contribution in the disciplines of communication, management, and media.

As a journal committed to nurturing scholarship from early career researchers and emerging economies, we encourage new research in media, creative, and culture industries; strategic communication for business and marketing; communication for social change; cultural studies and related domains.

JOCC is honoured to have recently received a research grant from the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), the premier national body supporting and advancing social science research in India. The Journal Citation Indicator (JCI) is a measure of citation impact that is normalised by subject category. It is calculated using citations from items published in the JCI year and the prior three years, to items published in the prior three years. Because of the category normalisation, a score of 1 means that articles in a journal received a number of citations equal to the average citation count in that subject category.

Communication 116 out of 535 Scopus provides the journal’s CiteScore, which is calculated as the total citations made in the CiteScore year and the prior three years to content published in the CiteScore year and the prior three years, divided by the total number of items published by the journal in the CiteScore year and prior three years. Read more
