Scholarships & Financial Aid
MICA provides scholarships to deserving, meritorious, needy students and thereby helps them to reduce the burden of higher education costs that students and their parents have to bear. The scholarships are awarded annually on a merit-cum-means basis to students currently pursuing studies at MICA and benefit students of the 2-year programmes, viz. the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Communications) – PGDM(C) and Post Graduate Diploma in Management – PGDM, the 1-year Post Graduate Certificate in Management (PGCM) in Advertising and Marketing Communication and Post Graduate Certificate in Management (PGCM) in Digital Media and Marketing Communications. The process of evaluating and awarding the scholarships is rigorous.
Criteria for selection: (applicable to PGDM-C, PGDM, PGCM-AMC & PGCM-DMMC)
- Family Income not exceeding Rs. 10 lakhs per annum
- Scrutiny of Income-Tax Returns and Bank Statements of all the earning members of the family for the last 3 years
- Strong academic performance (minimum CGPA of 3.00) and class attendance record (minimum 80% across all subjects) in the first year (this is applicable only to PGP- 2nd Year)
- Other achievements (e.g., winning state/national/international level competitions)
The Selection Process:
Equity Scholarship 1 or 2 first-year PGDM-C or PGDM students may receive the Equity Scholarship sponsored by Prof. Bikram Bindra, MICA’s Adjunct Faculty, offering support of up to ₹5 lakhs.
Please note that the final discretion to award the scholarships rests with the MICA management.
- Notification and Announcement to MICA students for inviting scholarship applications
- Preliminary scrutiny of applications and financial documents as per respective criteria
- Interview and interaction of the shortlisted students with the MICA Scholarships Committee (consisting of MICA faculty and staff).
- Recommendations of selected students by the MICA Scholarships Committee to the Director & CEO and Dean for approval.
- Official notification regarding receipt / non-receipt of scholarship to the final shortlisted students
