Denish Shah, Barbara and Elmer Sunday Professor of Marketing at Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business, has received the 2018 Varadarajan Award for Early Career Contributions to Marketing Strategy Research from the American Marketing Association (AMA) Marketing Strategy Special Interest Group. It was presented to him at AMA’s 2018 Summer Academic Conference.
A three-member panel of past winners and editors select Varadarajan Award recipients by assessing quantity and quality of research, impact on marketing strategy and practice, and research leadership within the first 10 years of completion of one’s Ph.D. program.
Shah directs Robinson’s Social Media Intelligence Lab and its Master of Science in Marketing program. His research focuses on issues pertaining to linking marketing strategies to the financial performance of firms and comprises quantitative analyses to develop data-driven managerial insights.
He is recipient of six teaching excellence awards and a 2015 Marketing Science Institute (MSI) Young Scholar, Shah holds a Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut.
