Arunachalam, S. is a Faculty at ISB – Hyderabad. His current research focuses on the interface between the firm’s marketing capabilities and innovation outcomes. The research explores questions like: What is the role of marketing in how firms profit from innovation? How do top management’s actions and behaviour affect marketing and innovation capabilities of the firm? In order to investigate these research questions, he integrates perceptual data from CEOs and CMOs (Chief Marketing Officers) on firm capabilities and strategies with objective innovation and performance indicators. He uses a variety of quantitative methodologies including structural equation modeling, partial least squares, and econometric modeling. Prior to the PhD, he has worked in industry in different capacities as COO, EA to the MD and software engineer.
