Saurabh Varma is our alumnus from the PGP batch of 1995-1997. He is currently the CEO of Leo Burnett India. In his career of fifteen years, Saurabh enjoys a rich experience of having worked across many categories including FMCG, Banking & Finance and Consumer Durables. He has been with the Leo Burnett group for about 8 years now. Some of the brands he has worked on include Lakme (Unilever), Vicks (P&G), NIVEA, Fosters, Philips, HP, Blackberry, Samsung, Friesland Campina Asia Pacific (Dutch Lady/ Foremost/ Frisian Flag), MCYS and UOB Bank. In 2013, Saurabh launched the Leo Burnett Institute of Behaviour (LBIB), a Singapore-based consulting, innovation and research division of the Leo Burnett Group, Asia Pacific. Saurabh also represents Leo Burnett Asia Pacific on the Global Planning Board and presides over the APAC Effectiveness Council. His list of awards and achievements include: In the last 4 years Saurabh Varma has won more than 60 awards including the Effie Gold, the Appies Gold, the Grand Prix for Direct Marketing, the most effective media campaign at the Hall of Fame in 2009, 2 Gold Lions at Cannes in 2010, the Grand Prix at the ADFEST, the Viewer’s Choice Award (Mediacorp) in 2009, as also in 2010 and many more. Saurabh was awarded the 'Strategic Planner of the Year' Award at the 'Hall of Fame' in 2010.
