On the occasion of Gujarat Gaurav Divas, MICA’s Centre for Development Management and Communication (CDMC) held a riveting Panel Discussion on a cutting edge topic "Evolving Frontiers of Digital World: Marketing & Consumer Connect". The event was held in the Mani Ayer Auditorium at MICA on 28th April 2017.

The panel consisted of MICA President and Director Designate Dr. Shailendra Raj Mehta, Dean Dr. Preeti Shroff, Associate Deans Dr. Rajneesh Krishna and Prof. Sid Deshmukh & Dr. Anita Basalingappa. The panel deliberated on two contemporary themes i.e. how the digitally enabled world has brought disruptions and opportunities for innovations in terms of consumer connect and marketing and how to bridge the digital divide to balance technology and human centric world. The overarching conclusion was the constant challenge for marketers today to create better targeted, more relevant and better-optimized communications and simultaneously thriving for better consumer engagement whilst keeping track of the huge digital divide that exists. The panellists also delved into the hedonistic aspects of consumerism and ethics in a digital era. The discussion concluded with a Q/A session and the panelists’ snippets on the future of education and the role of creativity and innovation in the institutions of higher learning.

Dean of MICA Dr. Preeti Shroff thanked the erudite panelists, enthused audience and the Government of Gujarat for their support in making the event a grand success.
