MICA will offer training in branding, marketing and communication to 90 women
To create more women entrepreneurs, MICA will train them in domains of branding, marketing and communication. Commencing on Friday, the Master Training programme will be conducted for 90 women from Self Employed Women Association (SEWA).
30 SEWA coordinators who manage activities of the women entrepreneurs at SEWA will be trained along with 60 women entrepreneurs.
These women entrepreneurs are involved in two evolving brands of SEWA - Harkhi (Rural Textile brand) and RUDI (Rural and Urban Agro brand ).
The two-day training workshops will be conducted on March 24-25 for Harkhi, March 24-28 for RUDI and April 3-4 for SEWA coordinators.
The workshops will enhance leadership skills of participants, while focusing on enterprise development through value chain enhancement and scaling up of SEWA's existing food, textiles, culture and education enterprises.
The faculty for the training programme includes an expert team of eight MICA faculty members led by Dr Preeti Shroff, dean - MICA and Dr Manisha Pathak-Shelat.
