MICA's three-day annual marketing fest will begin today and conclude with Trivedi's concert on Sunday

Ahmedabad: MICANVAS, the annual marketing fest of MICA, India's premier management school for strategic marketing and communication, kicked off on Thursday with a series of events and activities that will culminate with singer Amit Trivedi's performance on Sunday.

The three-day event will host students from all over the country as well as eminent speakers from the industry. There will be mix of panel discussions, competitions, lectures, concerts and activities at the event that is slated to be held on MICA campus in Shilaj. Singer Neeti Mohan will also share the stage with Trivedi in an all-night concert.

Arushi Walecha, a student and member of Team Interface at MICA said, "Saturday evening will witness a performance by Coke Studio band Advaita. Other events include a panel discussion whose keynote address will be given by Kunal Jeswani, CEO of Ogilvy India. Then, in a multpile-round competition, participants from the best B-Schools in India will be given various business and managerial problems to solve. In another event called metrotopia, participants will create their own superhero from Indian mythology. Teams will have to take any character from Indian mythology and explain how they whould be most relevant in modern times."

She added, "There is one event where participants will be asked to come up with a common campaign for products or brands which are contradictory in every aspects. This will showcase their ability to think out of the box."
