First-year students of MICA have won the grand finale of HUL Carpe Diem Season-5, a competition where participants need to come up with solutions for live marketing problems. ‘Team Phantom’ comprised Krishna Rao, Pranjali Morchhale and Rohit Ramesh of PG Diploma in Management-Communication course.

According to officials from the institute, the competition is an opportunity for bright minds from India’s premier and select B-schools to work with Hindustan Unilever Limited on a live project and also get a chance to do summer internships under the prestigious Unilever Leaders Internship Programme, they said.

Of 400 teams, 14 were selected for final round. These included teams from IIFT, NMIMS, MDI, SIBM and XIMB. In the preliminary round, participants were given a case study where they were required to come up with innovative solutions that could be applied in a present context.

Two teams from MICA were shortlisted for the grand finale which took place in Mumbai.
