Ahmedabad: In a move to strengthen its strategic marketing area, MICA has roped in a professor from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Professor Sanjeev Tripathi who was a consultant at Nielsen, world’s leading market-research agency, will join the institute as associate professor from August 1.
An alumnus of IIMA, Tripathi is a former technocrat with Government of India and has worked as an IRSME officer with Indian Railways in diverse functions such as operations, logistics, production and procurement. He has an expertise in sports marketing and management and has run a course in IIM Ahmedabad for last four years on sports marketing and management.
He has also held a number of projects on sports management with organisations in sports domain. His research interests are in area of sports marketing and management, consumer behaviour and behavioural pricing.
