Seven girls received medals at the 21st convocation of India’s premier B-school for Strategic Marketing and Communication, MICA, held on Saturday. In all 158 students of the ‘Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Communications (PGDM-C)’ and 23 students of ‘Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Crafting Creative Communication (PGCP-CCC)’ graduated.
The chief guest of the convocation was Bhaskar Bhat, managing director, Titan Company Ltd. who was accompanied by Madhukar Kamath, president, MICA, Dr Preeti Shroff, dean, MICA and outgoing director Dr Nagesh Rao.
Bhat said, “We are all part of various institutions, our families, our schools, our colleges, our companies and so on. When you are part of an institution you must always strive to give your everything for that institution. You must always put the institution ahead of yourself. Only then the institution pays you back by putting you ahead.” He also asked students to manage time.
Outgoing MICA Director Dr Nagesh Rao said, “It has been an honour and privilege to serve MICA for the last four years. I am happy to see MICA as a purpose-driven institute that is set to scale new heights.”
