Prof. L.K. Vaswani with over 40 years of experience is currently Adjunct Faculty at MICA and also Director of KIIT School of Rural Management (KSRM), KIIT University, Bhubaneswar since November, 2006.
Before joining academics Prof. Vaswani spent 16 years in Research & Industry. Having selected in the first batch of Agricultural Research Service (ARS), he began his career with ICAR in 1976 and later worked for ORG and KRIBHCO before joining IRMA in 1991. He worked in IRMA, Anand for 13 years in various capacities including NABARD Chair Professor and Acting Director till November 2006.In between he took a short-term assignment as CEO of newly formed Indian Coffee Marketing Cooperative (COMARK) in Hassan, Karnataka.
He has completed more than 40 major consulting assignments for organisations like World Bank, FAO, EEC, UNIDO, UNDP, EXIM BANK, NDDB, NABARD, SAIL, ICZMP, number of state governments, corporate and development organisations.
He has conducted more than 100 executive development programmes; published and presented around 60 papers in India and abroad; 5 students under him have been awarded PhD and another 4 PhD scholars are working with him. Besides Marketing his current interests include Livelihoods, Value Chain Development, Rural Marketing and CSR.
Currently he is Member, Expert Committee for SEED Programmes, DST,GOI ; Advisor, National Livelihood Resource Institute (NLRI),Ratlam (MP), promoted KRIBHCO.
