Prof. Tendle is a J J School Alumnus and the former Creative Director at FCB-Ulka. He has over 35 years of creative industry experience. He now sells hope instead of soaps since the last ten years at MICA. Helping the CCC students design careers in Visual Communication , Prof. Tendle holds workshops, consults, teaches, mentors, sculpts and illustrates within the realm of Creative Visual Communication.

In a career that spans 30 years, he has created and worked on some of the best-known advertising campaigns in the country: Raymond’s, The EcoTimes, Venky’s Chicken, Limca, Lakme, CRY and so on. He has won over 150 awards, including two CLIO nominations, Advertising Campaign of the Year from ABBY (twice), several CAG Awards, newspaper/magazine awards from Pioneer, Mid-Day, and A&M, Tops International (Copywriter Of The Year), and an obscene number of obscure awards.

He is a visual artist who graduated from Sr J.J. School of Art, Bombay; acquired post graduation education from NID, Ahmedabad, specialising in Textile Design; He's now a design consultant to various brands within retail fashion, media, publishing, hospitality industry such as Shoppers' Stop, Raymonds, Penguin Books India, Rolling Stones, Salt Water Cafe, Mineral Films Division, Childrens films Society of lndia, Oxfam India, Amnesty International etc.

With a background In Economics and over eight years of hands-on experience in Graphic Design from NID, he perceives design as a way of thinking. His areas of interests include identity design, typography, poster design, production design, branding & brand strategy, advertising and photography. His creative pursuits have been endorsed by organisations such as ICOGRADA. He has been featured In numerous international publications including the NY Times, design journals & periodicals.
