  1. Events

    • ‘Choosing Happiness’, a precursor to mark the International Women’s Day celebration for FICCI FLO Women's Group - Ahmedabad Chapter on February 27, 2018. Participants comprised of entrepreneurs, professionals and homemakers.

    • UNICEF, MICAVAANI (MICA’s Community Radio Station, a student-driven initiative) and the Centre jointly hosted a celebratory event ‘Universal Children’s Day’ for 30 children from Shela Prathmik Shala on the 20th of November 2017. The event was organized to support the international campaign 2017#KidsTakeOver; school children took over MICAVAANI for an hour with the support and supervision from MICA students’ team.

    • Centre for Environment Education (CEE, Ahmedabad) and MICA hosted Swacchagraha to create awareness among students for clean Navratri during OORJA 2017 Navratri festival.

    • Ahmedabad Municipal Corporate and MICA organised a round table panel discussion on ‘Evolving Frontiers of Digital World: Marketing & Consumer Connect’ to commemorate Gujarat Gaurav Divas.

    • MICA in association with the US consulate organised a film screening of ‘In the Game’, a documentary that captures the story of low income girl students’ soccer team and their journey of empowerment. The screening was followed by a discussion with the film’s producer and director, Maria Finitizo, a Peabody award winning social issues documentary filmmaker on the issue of gender rights and connecting filmmaking with civic engagement.

    • Haats and exhibitions organized to support handicrafts and artisans of different regions of India during conferences and events at MICA.

  2. Conferences

    • ICMC 2017- the 4th International Communication Management Conference on ‘People, Planet and Profit - Synergistic Leadership for Social and Communication Innovations’, January 2017.

    • ICMC 2014- the 1st International Communication Management Conference on ‘Managing Health Communication - People, Programme and Products’, February 2014.

    • MICA along with ten other reputed institutions organised a national consultation on C4D for UNICEF to deliberate on developing learning modules on ‘Communication for Social and Behaviour Change’ for academic and training institutions in India in 2012.
