A message from MICA Dean: Launching of the Academic Year 2016-17
Dear MICA Students, Faculty, Staff and Alumni:
It is with great honour and pleasure, I welcome you as the Dean of MICA in the academic year 2016-17. This is the most anticipated week for all of us who have been planning the curriculum and preparing the campus to receive our returning and the new group of students. We have worked hard to understand the broader global and industry environment that you will engage with upon graduation in your respective programmes – PGP / FPM / CCC.
Keeping in mind the rapidly evolving world around you, we have made sure to design and deliver quality programmes that would enhance your subject area knowledge, industry-specific expertise and encourage your personal transformation. We are committed to enabling and facilitate truly exciting and stimulating learning environment and the experience of a lifetime for you all.
However, this can be achieved only when you all take on the responsibility of critical thinking and learning while you are engaged on campus, classrooms and community that surround us. So embrace this great opportunity for higher education and make a sincere effort to learn from your faculty, peers, MICA alumni and industry partners.
We have launched a series of exciting activities, leadership learning events, industry collaborations, community engagements, summer internship, rural immersion / international immersion as applicable.
Above all, enjoy the campus experience and classroom challenges while building friendships of a lifetime and nurturing a community that will always be there for you as you emerge and evolve to be a global professional citizen.
I am deeply grateful for the presence and guidance of MICA President, Mr Madhukar Kamath, and an outstanding group of faculty and staff, who have worked tirelessly and have ensured that you will excel in your learning at MICA.
Finally, the arrival of much awaited welcome showers is refreshing for all of us. What a great moment to launch the academic year 2016-17!
I look forward to engaging and learning from all of you.
