Academic Centres

MICA's academic centres are dedicated to different disciplines in the communications domain. They undertake extensive research, conduct workshops and awareness seminars and produce knowledge generating study material all through the year to strengthen that particular field of communications. Below are the five academic centres at MICA:

Mudra Institute of Communication Research (MICORE)

MICORE is a dedicated scientific research centre with greater magnitude in a wide spectrum of communications, marketing and other related areas. It is committed to providing communications-centered solutions to the developmental and organisational challenges facing the country, its driving impetus being to build a strong and just consumer and civil society.

Knowledge Exchange and Information Centre (KEIC)

KEIC is MICA's hi-tech library and an exclusive centre of excellence for advertising, media, marketing, and related information. It extends total information support to marketers, ad agencies, media houses, management institutes and researchers.

Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC)

MICA-EDC is an initiative of MICA, set up with the support of Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, with the purpose of fostering entrepreneurship in communications-driven initiatives as well as promoting corporate entrepreneurship in the communications industry.

Centre for Social and Developmental Communications (CSDC)

Dedicated to serve the field of social and developmental communications, CSDC undertakes research projects and training programmes and conducts high quality research that involves participation from marginalised communities and deprived social groups.

Management Development Centre (MDC)

MDC conducts Management Development Programmes (MDPs) in Communication Skills and Communication Management which provide relevant training to the executives of different sectors of the economy operating at different levels in the organisational hierarchy thereby, enabling them to further add value to their clients and organisations.

Centre for Media Studies (CMS)

CMS is a centre dedicated to research in media studies with the conviction that media should be understood in their myriad dimensions as symbolic forms and meanings, cultural industries and technologies, and their complex interrelationships systematically explored.
